Specific characteristics of geotextiles used in tunnel projects
Features of non-woven geotextiles used in tunnel projects:
1. Tunnel waterproofing: On the inner wall and the top of the tunnel, non-woven geotextile can be used as a waterproofing layer. It prevents groundwater from seeping into the tunnel and avoids flooding and high humidity inside the tunnel.
2. Tunnel drainage: In the foundation part of the tunnel, non-woven geotextile can be used to provide drainage. It can prevent the accumulation of groundwater and rainwater in the tunnel foundation, reduce the moisture content of the tunnel foundation, and maintain the stability of the foundation.
3. Tunnel anti-corrosion protection: Non-woven geotextile can be used as an anti-corrosion layer on the inner structure of the tunnel. It prevents corrosion of the structure from moisture and chemicals inside the tunnel and extends its service life.
4. Tunnel reinforcement: In the soil layer inside the tunnel, non-woven geotextile can be used for reinforcement. It can improve the stability and compression resistance of the soil layer and prevent soil collapse and landslides.
5. Tunnel slope protection: Non-woven geotextile can be used as slope protection material on steep slopes or high slopes at the entrance and exit of the tunnel. It can prevent soil erosion and slope landslides and keep the tunnel entrance stable.
